Chea Doe is a farmer who lost a leg in a landmine accident. We met Doe while we were making our film and he was subsequently taken to the Cambodia Trust rehabilitation centre in Kompong Chhnang to be fitted for a prosthetic limb.
Choun Saroth, a student at the Cambodian School of Prosthetics & Orthotics (CSPO), makes a prosthetic limb for a landmine survivor. At CSPO, students from Cambodia and other developing countries learn to prescribe and fit prosthetic limbs and orthoses (braces). This film was made several years ago - Saroth is now a lecturer at CSPO, passing on her skills to other students.
